1. Open the Work Order and Locate the Assigned Technician
- Drill into the specific work order you want to discuss.
- Find the assigned technician on the right side of the work order.
- From the technician profile, you can access their contact options.
2. Use Direct Contact Methods if Needed
- You can contact the technician directly by using:
- Their phone number
- Their email address
- These details appear underneath the technician’s profile.
- This is a simple option for quick, direct communication outside the platform.
3. Start a Video Call for Supported Plans
- If your account is on Enterprise or Enterprise Pro Plus, you can use the video call option.
- Select the Video Call button to open a new window.
- This will initiate a video call with the assigned technician.
4. Use In-App Messaging for the Best Work Order Communication
- Select Messages on the work order to open the conversation thread.
- This is the recommended way to communicate because it keeps the conversation tied to the work order.
- Anyone on your team can participate in the conversation with the technician.
5. Review Message History Later
- Messages sent through the system are saved as part of the work order history.
- To review the conversation later, reopen the work order and go to the Messages tab.
- This lets you see exactly what was discussed.
6. Receive Notifications for New Messages
- When you send a message, the technician receives a notification.
- When the technician replies, your team receives a notification.
- This keeps both sides updated without needing to check manually.
7. Use Messaging as the Preferred Workflow
- In-app messaging is the best option because it preserves communication in the work order record.
- It creates a clear history for future reference.
- This makes it easier to track decisions, updates, and follow-ups.
