How to Bulk Upload Sites in Cloudwork|PRO

2 min read

1. Understand why bulk uploading sites is useful

  • Bulk uploading is helpful when you have many sites or locations to add at once.
  • Preloading site information saves time later when creating service calls or work orders.
  • Once sites are already in the system, you won’t need to re-enter the same site details each time.

2. Open the Bulk Upload tool from the Sites menu

  • From the main menu, go to Sites.
  • Select Bulk Upload.
  • This is where you’ll upload a CSV file containing all of your site records.

3. Download the CSV template

  • Click the CSV template download button.
  • Save the file to your computer.
  • Use this template to make sure your data is formatted correctly for upload.

4. Fill in the site information in the CSV file

  • Enter the required site details into the template.
  • Example fields shown in the transcript include:
    • Site name
    • Site ID
    • Address
    • City, state, and zip
    • Site contact name
    • Site contact phone number
  • Make sure each row represents one site/location.

5. Make sure each site has the required fields

  • Each location must include at least:
    • A name
    • A phone number
  • If those required fields are missing, the upload will not work properly.

6. Upload the completed CSV file

  • Return to the Bulk Upload screen.
  • Select the type of sites you are uploading.
  • Drag and drop the completed CSV file into the upload box, or click Upload File.
  • The system will create all of the sites in the platform.

7. Use the uploaded sites for future work orders

  • After upload, the sites will be available in Cloudwork|PRO.
  • You can now create work orders without re-entering site details each time.
  • This is the main benefit of bulk uploading: faster setup and easier work order creation.
